Built at an altitude of 1,200 metres, it is a destination that combines history and natural beauty, suitable for visitors all year round. The name of the village comes from the "chania," the traditional inns that served merchants and travelers since the 17th century, since it was an important crossroads of trade routes. The village was an important stopover because of its location and was known for the service and security it offered to passers-by.

It starts from Tsagarada, one of the most beautiful villages of Pelion, known for its stone-built mansions and the century-old plane tree in the square of Agia Paraskevi. The route mainly follows an old stone cobbled road and passes through lush chestnut and plane tree forests, with a wonderful view of the Aegean Sea. As you approach Damouhari, the path descends and offers impressive views of the coastal landscape.

Kala Nera
1,5 - 2 hours

Milies

It follows the old path next to the line of the legendary train "Moutzouris". The route has a gentle uphill slope, especially as you approach Milies, and passes through green landscape, bridges and beautiful spots with views of the Pagasitikos Gulf. It is suitable for beginners who are in moderate physical condition and for families.

Stagiates
1 - 1,5 hour

Makrinitsa

The path is mainly a cobbled path, with beautiful stone passages and lush vegetation. It starts from the traditional village of Stagiates, known for the source of the "Immortal Water", and climbs towards Makrinitsa, the "Balcony of Pelion," which offers magnificent views of Volos and the Pagasitikos. It is a classic and favorite route for those who want to combine natural beauty with the picturesque villages of Pelion. If you plan to walk it, it is recommended to combine it with a stop in Makrinitsa for coffee.

Drakeia
1,5 - 2 hours

Ag Laurentios

The path connects two beautiful traditional villages of Pelion, passing through wooded landscapes, olive groves and stone cobbled streets. Along the way you will enjoy the natural beauty of Pelion, with plane trees, chestnut trees and rich shade, while Agios Lavrentios, at the end, welcomes you with its traditional architecture and the central square, where you can relax. It is an ideal route for any season, but it stands out in spring and autumn, when nature is at its most vibrant.

Agriolefkes

It starts from the village of Chania, located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters, and ends at the ski resort of Agriolefkes. The route crosses the impressive beech and fir forest, which offers rich shade and clean mountain air. It is suitable for all seasons, but particularly popular in autumn, when the leaves create magical landscapes, and in winter, when snow covers the landscape.

Ski Centre Pelion Agriolefkes

The Pelion Ski Centre, founded in 1967, is located on the slopes of Mount Centauri and offers a unique experience to its visitors. The unique view of two seas, the Pagasitikos Gulf and the Aegean Sea, makes it one of the most unique destinations for winter sports in Greece.
