Built at an altitude of 1,200 meters, Chania is a small village and on one of the highest points of moumtain Pelion. There you can find the ski center "Agriolefkes" (1529 m) , only 2 km from the village. Chania is a place for those who love winter sports , but also for those who want to relax during the winter or summer vacation.

The name of the village was established in the modern times by a complex of small hostels, known as "inns" in earlier seasons, where travelers and merchants of the area could find accommodation.

Today is a traditional village of mountain Pelion, attraction for visitors from all over Greece and abroad, offering traditional hospitality, beauty of nature and mountain activities.
